Just met a client with my friend for a prospective freelancing project a few hours ago. Our client is a reservations office for a resort in Batangas. It’s always entertaining when your clients aren’t too tech savvy and you get to interview them and watch their faces light up when you tell them that a certain part of their work could actually be partially automatted and make their lives so much better!
Disappointing Programmers
ﾂThe meeting went well until the client briefed us on their current setup with their last solutions provider. It’s gets worse when we finally got to see the system. The site looks like it’s been designed by total noobs! The site is supposed to look appealing being a beach resort site! But No! The solutions provider had to make it look like a single tone website designed in the late 90’s! The reservation system itself can be summized in two words. EPIC FAIL. The system is too tedious to work with and the design work flow is so messed up that the liason officers gave up on the system a long time ago. I do hope my partner and I get this project so that we can clean up the mess left by the lazy solutions provider.

When will Filipino politicians ever learn? I’m getting sick and tired of all the misapproportioned funds and scandals that keep recurring on almost a monthly basis. The fertilizer scam, the crapped up ZTE bordband deal and nowﾂmisapproportioned funds worth P200 million Pesos to extend another ghost C5! How the hell can anyone be so stupid as to create the very same project to fix the very same road extension and get away with successfully allocating the funds? ARGH! God help us all!
