Me with Spiderman

I was out earlier today on a date with Pau (my girlfriend) to celebrate her upcoming birthday. We both wanted time alone to spend her birthday before spending it with anyone else. Awww sweet. Dating venue: Robinsons Ermita – A medium-sized mall near my place. Talk about lazy. Haha! A few minutes into our stroll, we heard a rock band playing on a makeshift stage. To my geeky delight, they were playing for a nearby toy convention- the Collecticon! So many Star Wars toys and Gundam pla plas! Why do toy conventions always seem to sprout out when I’m out of money! ARGH!

Toys

Cool Star Wars action figures! Can’t buy a single item. I’m broke…

More Toys!

More great items… I wanted the Y-wing Lego… :’-(

Make It Happen – Just another dance movie

Make It Happen

SbarroAfter successfully pulling myself out of the toy convention Pau and I continued searching for a good place to eat. I quickly decided that we eat at Sbarro’s! My favorite pizza/pasta place! Another broken diet schedule!

For the movie date part of the date (its a movie date now?) we picked “Make it Happen” since I already watched “Eagle Eye” and the other movies look boring especially the Tagalog movies. Yes, I’m biased towards Filipino movies, but only because I feel that they need to break out of the never ending cliche of tried and tested (i.e. corny) movie formulas. Filipino Idie films however are making great progress.

Hosting change – SUCCESS!

My hosting invoice finally cleared last night and I excitedly changed my domain’s namespace server to match Philhosting’s DNS server! Philhosting also gave me a temporary site to log into while waiting for the DNS to propagate. But to my dismay, the cPanel login kept telling me that my password was wrong! I tried a few more times, even copy-pasting my password to ensure that it matched perfectly, but it still to no avail! I quickly submitted a support ticket to the hosting company with my problem and prayed that they answered tickets even during weekends. I retired that night frustrated.

The next day (today doh!) I quickly checked my site to check if the DNS propagated, and it did! I got a simple homepage with no content, but that’s good! It shows that the site is now using the new nameserver. And I also got to access my cPanel! Woohoo! After uploading my backups, everything is back to normal! Patience is a virtue gademmit! Yeah!
