That was a mouthful! hahaha! It’s basically “super dry” skin, according to the AARP. My right hand’s thumb, pointing and index fingers and the surrounding skin are scaling and cracking up.
It hurts a bit, especially when I forget to put lotion. I’m currently using Jergens Ultra Healing lotion. It helps and is way better than cheap lotions, but still not enough…
Does anyone have the same experience? Or better yet, a better treatment?

5Hey, cool tips. Perhaps I’ll buy a glass of beer to the person from that forum who told me to visit your blog

6I find that a product called Ultra Mide 25 with Urea is the best. I have used it now for over 20 years and its the only thing that helps. I have it on my lower legs. Its not severe, but it can be annoying, especially in the cold months. The sun helps alot. The lotion is abit expensive, but well worth it. I'm having a hard time getting it from the pharmacy lately, so I found a web site called Zuckermans pharmacy and they have it, thank goodness. Hope that helps, I know how frustrating it can be and embarassing too.

7Really? Does the Ultra Mide 25 work? I hope our local pharmacies have it stocked.

8Two things with a conclusion that Vitamin B is good for the skin.
A friend of mine used to have dry, scaly skin with loose bits that would flake off. She discovered that the B-complex vitamins would take care of it and last time I saw her, had a lovely complexion.
I used to have very dry skin in winter. My lips would crack and the skin over my knuckles as well. Now, as soon as my lips get try (with those vertical lines) I eat some yogurt, which gives me the B vitamins in the correct balance. Within a day my lips soften up again and my skin no longer cracks. B vitamins are water soluble. Some of them are produced only by animals or bacteria. {That's why vegans need to eat tempeh or take a B12 supplement.)
As this solution is inexpensive and non-invasive, I suggest that you try it.
