Google News Finally Indexed TDI, Joined Scott Kelby’s Photowalk (Manila)!

Yay! The Daily Inquirer is finally properly indexed in Google News! Yay again!

The 2nd Scott Kelby Photowalk in Manila!

I gave up on the Manila Photowalk about a month ago when I saw that the slots (50 people only) were already at full capacity but I put my name and email on the waiting list just to be sure.

And surprise, surprise! I received an email from the Manila Photowalk leader saying that the Photowalk was again accepting registrations and my name was selected! Yay!

Some info on Scott Kelby‘s Photowalk:
It’s a social photography event where photographers get together, usually in a downtown area or trendy section of town, to walk around, shoot photos, and generally have fun with other photographers.

For those who don’t know Scott Kelby – he is the author of the “The Digital Photography” Vol. 1 & 2 books and editor-in-chief for Layers Magazine, Photoshop User magazine and the president of NAPP the National Association of Photoshop Professionals.

Facebook now accepts 200 photos per album!

Last week was a really crappy week. I had several boils pop out of my left eye and near my right armpit taking advantage of my sleeplessness and wrecking havoc on my lymph nodes. Pain…

Going to field test my SB-400 tomorrow…

Just got a Nikon SB-400 for my Nikon D90. Woohoo! I’ll be testing it in a Cyberzone (?) event tomorrow. I dunno if I should bring the softbox I made (thanks to Ken Rockwell for the PDF).

Final Fantasy (8 & 13) photo shoot at the QC Memorial Circle

I attended a photo shoot my sister organized for Final Fantasy 8 cosplayers and it was my first whole day (kinda) shoot with a group of photographers. The shoot was very, very educational. The photographers were good, and I felt very out of place taking shots in between their shots and lighting setups. And I was the only guy with a Nikon (D90, my precious).

The cosplayers are my sister’s multiply and real life friends. The shoot is just one of many planned cosplay shoots my sister is organizing.

Holy Week: At the Riviera Golf club and the Tagytay Highlands

Testing the D90′s Post Processing features

Nosing around the menu of the D90, I saw some pretty interesting post processing features that can be done by the D90 even before uploading the photos into a computer! The picture shown above was set to monochrome via the D90. Neat!

Here are some pictures I took of my cat Saku and used the Quick Retouch feature and set the colors to Vivid.

I took my fresh from the box D90 on it’s first field test, while out on a date with Pau! Sorry for the gallery view, I’ll post the better sized photos in my photoblog. Here we go:

This is going to be my last crappy shot with a camera! I’m using my Nikon D90 next! Woohoo! Compared to my previous DSLR (the Canon 350D), the D90 is HEAVY! But it means there’s more of the good stuff! Can’t wait to shoot stuff!

Update: I just had shoot something, so I shot the D90′s box!
