Ikon Pass Adds Three Asian Resorts for Winter 26/27
Ikon Pass’s new Asian resorts for winter 2026/2027, offering access to 14 destinations across Japan, China, and South Korea.
The Ikon Pass has expanded its reach in Asia, adding Madarao Mountain Resort in Japan and Beidahu Ski Resort and Lake Songhua Resort in China for the 2026/2027 winter season. This brings the total number of Asian destinations accessible to Ikon Pass holders to 14.
With these additions, Ikon Pass holders can now enjoy up to 98 days on the slopes in Japan, China, and South Korea. The pass provides access to 80 global destinations across five continents and 13 countries.
New Asian Destinations
The new Asian destinations join existing Ikon Pass resorts in Japan, including Niseko United, Arai Mountain Resort, and Shiga Kogen Mountain Resort. In China, Yunding Snow Park is already part of the Ikon Pass network, and in South Korea, Mona Yongpyong is available.
Ikon Pass holders will have access to 7 days each at Madarao Mountain Resort, Beidahu Ski Resort, and Lake Songhua Resort. Ikon Base Pass holders will receive 5 days each at these new destinations, with no blackout dates. However, the Ikon Session Pass does not include access to these new resorts.
Bonus Mountains and Global Reach
For the 2026/2027 season, Ikon Pass holders will also receive 2 free days each at two new Bonus Mountains: Caberfae Peaks in Michigan and Snowy Range Ski Area in Wyoming. These join other Bonus Mountains in North America, such as Grouse Mountain in British Columbia and Cranmore Mountain Resort in New Hampshire.
David Flueck, Chief Customer Officer and President of Ikon Pass at Alterra Mountain Company, stated, “Adding Madarao Mountain Resort, Beidahu Ski Resort, and Lake Songhua Resort gives Ikon Pass holders three new reasons to ski or ride Asia.” He highlighted the appeal of Japan’s snow and the rapid growth of Jilin province as a ski destination.
Madarao Mountain Resort, located in northern Nagano, Japan, is known for its deep powder and natural terrain. With 60% of its courses left ungroomed, it offers a tree-skiing experience with 12 official tree-ski courses.
Beidahu Ski Resort, situated in the Changbai Mountains, boasts a 160-day snow season and one of the largest vertical drops in Asia. Its wide-open learning terrain makes it an ideal destination for skiers of all levels.
Resort Highlights and Accessibility
Lake Songhua Resort, just nine miles from Jilin City, has been named China’s Best Ski Resort for nine consecutive years. It offers a blend of authentic mountain experience and easy access, with terrain suitable for all skill levels.
