Vietnam Airlines Launches Direct Ahmedabad-Hanoi Flights
Vietnam Airlines now offers direct Ahmedabad-Hanoi flights, operating four times weekly, connecting Gujarat to Vietnam.

Vietnam Airlines has introduced nonstop flights connecting Ahmedabad with Hanoi, expanding its Indian network to five locations and entering the Gujarat market. The first plane left Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on November 3, 2026.
Operating four times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, the service offers travelers from Ahmedabad and surrounding areas direct access to Hanoi. Passengers can also connect to other destinations within Vietnam Airlines’ domestic and international network.
This route enhances international connectivity from Gujarat, supporting tourism, business travel, trade, and MICE movements between India and Vietnam.
Trinh Minh Manh, Ambassador of Vietnam to India, welcomed the development, stating, “The launch of the Ahmedabad-Hanoi direct service by Vietnam Airlines is a very much welcome development in strengthening India-Vietnam connectivity. Improved air links will further boost tourism, trade, business exchanges, and people-to-people ties, thus further strengthening the Enhanced Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between our two countries.”
A spokesperson for Ahmedabad International Airport Limited (AIAL) commented, “We welcome Vietnam Airlines to Ahmedabad and are pleased to support the commencement of this new international service. The Ahmedabad-Hanoi connection will offer travellers greater choice and convenience while contributing to the growth of international connectivity from Gujarat.”
Nguyen Trung Hieu, Country Manager, India, Vietnam Airlines, said, “This new route will provide travellers with a convenient direct connection to Hanoi, while enabling access to Vietnam’s diverse destinations and our wider international network,”
Aeroprime Group, Vietnam Airlines’ Passenger General Sales Agent (GSA) in India, has been working with the airline to strengthen its presence and expand its network across the country.
Abhishek Goyal, Executive Director and CEO, Aeroprime Group, said, “Ahmedabad is a commercially significant market, with strong business activity and growing interest in international travel.” With Ahmedabad becoming the fifth Indian station, we look forward to driving awareness and demand for this new service and strengthening air connectivity between Gujarat and Vietnam.”
With Ahmedabad becoming Vietnam Airlines’ fifth passenger destination in India, the new service adds another direct international connection from Gujarat, creating further opportunities for leisure, corporate and MICE travel between the two countries.
