Hilton has secured six first-place finishes in the 2026 Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards, with 53 properties across eight brands recognized in the U.S. and U.K. surveys. The results, released October 12, highlight the group’s dominance in both city hotels and destination resorts, spanning regions from New Orleans to Beijing.

The awards reflect reader preferences in separate categories for luxury hotels, resorts, and newly opened properties. Hilton’s total of 26 top-five placements marks an increase from 47 recognized properties in 2025. The awards are based on regional and accommodation-specific rankings rather than a single global competition.

Waldorf Astoria and Conrad lead the rankings

Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts accounted for four of the six category leaders in the U.S. survey. The Roosevelt New Orleans, a Waldorf Astoria property, was named the top hotel in New Orleans and placed 28th among hotels worldwide. Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead led the Atlanta hotel category, while Waldorf Astoria Helsinki was named the No. 1 hotel in Northern Europe in its opening year. In Mexico, Waldorf Astoria Los Cabos Pedregal took the No. 1 resort position in Western Mexico for a third consecutive year.

Conrad Hotels & Resorts claimed the remaining two first-place positions. Conrad Beijing topped the hotel category for the Chinese capital, and Conrad Koh Samui was voted the leading resort in Thailand. The results show Hilton’s reach, with top-ranked properties in major cities and tropical destinations.

Other Waldorf Astoria properties also performed strongly. Waldorf Astoria Chengdu was No. 2 among hotels in Asia; Waldorf Astoria Seychelles Platte Island ranked No. 3 among Indian Ocean resorts; Waldorf Astoria Orlando was No. 3 among Orlando resorts; and Rome Cavalieri, A Waldorf Astoria Hotel, was No. 5 among Rome hotels. Conrad Shenzhen placed No. 4 among hotels in Asia, with Conrad Osaka No. 6 among hotels in Japan.

Hilton’s success extends beyond its flagship brands. LXR Hotels & Resorts earned notable placements, including Oceana Santa Monica ranked No. 2 among hotels in Southern California, Ka La’i Waikīkī Beach was No. 4 among hotels in Hawaii, and Arizona Biltmore placed No. 6 among resorts in the Southwest. In the separate U.K. survey, Umana Bali was voted the No. 5 resort in Indonesia.

Curio Collection and new openings drive recognition

The Curio Collection by Hilton contributed 13 properties to the U.S. survey results. Baker’s Cay Resort Key Largo placed No. 3 among resorts in the Florida Keys, while Hotel Alpenrock Breckenridge ranked No. 3 among hotels in Colorado. Other appearances included The Morrison Dublin at No. 5 among hotels in Ireland, The Caledonian Edinburgh at No. 10 among hotels in the United Kingdom, and Hotel del Coronado at No. 13 among resorts in Southern California.

Newly opened properties also made an impact. The Monarch San Antonio, Curio Collection by Hilton, and The Valorian West Hollywood, Curio Collection by Hilton, both opened in 2026 and ranked No. 8 among Texas hotels and No. 9 among Los Angeles hotels, respectively. Motto by Hilton made its awards debut through Motto by Hilton Nashville Downtown, the No. 6 hotel in the South in the U.S. survey.

In the U.K. survey, Hilton Molino Stucky Venice ranked No. 6 among hotels in Venice; NoMad London placed No. 28 among hotels in the United Kingdom; and the Beverly Hilton was No. 19 among Los Angeles hotels in the U.S. survey.

Chris Silcock, Hilton’s president of global brands and commercial services, attributed the recognition to its hotel teams and linked the results to the group’s wider brand development. The 39th edition of Condé Nast Traveler’s Readers’ Choice Awards will be published online and in the magazine’s November issue.
